GET IT ON! 2018

A celebratory event that brings together Australian Aboriginal fabric design and people who like to sew.

It aims to showcase Indigenous hand-printed fabric designs and bring attention to their fabulousness and versatility; showcase participants’ skills as designers and sewers; and promote the wearing of handmade clothing and slow fashion and to provide a platform for emerging designers.

DAMIBILA MIMAH

This exhibition focuses on the extensive knowledge of the propagation, harvesting, preparation and storage of bush foods held by Aboriginal people from different communities around the NT. Damibila in Gulumoerrgin (Larrakia) means ‘Barramundi’ and is also the name given to the season that signals the start of the dry season in the Top End.

ABT NAIDOC WEEK CELEBRATIONS 2018

This year, to mark NAIDOC Week and Territory Day, Aboriginal Bush Traders (ABT) highlights and celebrates the Northern Territory's rich Indigenous culture with a suite of public programs to nurture the body, mind and spirit, focussing on bush foods, beauty and art.
